In September, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid<\/a> will celebrate its 40th anniversary<\/strong>. As part of the programme, the Ego circuit will once again host the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent 2025 award. This year, nine Spanish brands will compete for the accolade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Established in 2013, the award recognises emerging designers and offers them the opportunity to showcase their work on an international runway. This year, the destination will be Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The selected proposals display diverse approaches. SLV FRR<\/strong> presents Over<\/em>, their first collection following a rebranding. Based on the concept of outgrowth<\/em>, in which the individual grows beyond what previously restrained them, the brand creates a narrative of suffocation and resilience through oversized garments and a second-skin effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio del Canto<\/strong>, meanwhile, will present Vertige<\/em>, a collection inspired by altered states of consciousness. It explores sleepwalking, dissociation, and insomnia through exaggerated silhouettes and fragmented fabrics. Colour contrasts and translucent details convey the fragility and disorientation of these states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dimoni Studio<\/strong> continues its research on textile surpluses with Cop4cab4na<\/em>. The collection draws direct references from the world of football through swimwear, mini shorts, and summer garments. Knots, draping, ultra-feminine touches, and sporty cuts combine to offer a realistic streetwear vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skinsfromtheinsideofmymouth<\/strong> debuts with Debut<\/em>, the designer Hugo Lisandra\u2019s final collection. Crafted through patchwork and upcycling techniques, it mixes natural and synthetic materials. The collection examines the relationship between humans and technology from a critical perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Antonio Acuario<\/strong> returns with Momento II<\/em>. Conceived after an eight-year hiatus, the collection explores two directions: complex pieces with layers and hidden details, and minimalist, near-nude silhouettes. Both aim to use clothing as a tool for expression and dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asier Quintana<\/strong> presents Crisis<\/em>, a genderless collection that revisits historical menswear codes. Inspired by restrictions on male attire in 17th-century Spain, it fuses Baroque opulence with modern restraint, offering a critical perspective on gender norms and expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emeerree<\/strong>, the 2023 winner, returns with Dressing Room<\/em>. The collection reflects on the intimate act of dressing and undressing, incorporating fabrics that suggest closeness, reinterpretations of menswear tailoring, and distorted structures created with ropes and removable fastenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Studio Cumbre<\/strong> presents Ya hemos estado aqu\u00ed<\/em>, inspired by the migratory history of designer Micaela Clubourg. The collection emphasises continuity over the ephemeral and champions comfort as an essential aesthetic, in contrast to extremity or urgency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Guillermo D\u00e9cimo<\/strong> returns with In Tempo<\/em>. The haute couture collection features 18 feminine ensembles, with each stitch conceived as a musical note. It upholds craftsmanship, manual work, and quality as the pillars of the proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jury will evaluate design, quality, creative vision, sustainability, craftsmanship, and long-term potential.
