The British Fashion Council has announced the first nominees for the British Fashion Awards 2025. Every December, London<\/strong> becomes a stage for recognition and symbolic power. The gala also serves as a funding platform<\/strong> for the BFC Foundation, which allocates resources to education, scholarships and business mentoring in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan Anderson appears among the most prominent nominations<\/strong>. He competes for Designer of the Year with JW Anderson<\/a> and his new role at Dior. Facing him are Glenn Martens, Martine Rose, Miuccia Prada, Rick Owens and Willy Chavarria. All have been selected for collections that marked a transformative pulse in the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the British womenswear category, Simone Rocha<\/strong> \u2014winner in 2024\u2014 shares a nomination with Knwls, Chopova Lowena, Erdem and Sarah Burton. The latter is beginning a new chapter at Givenchy. In the menswear category, the candidates are Grace Wales Bonner<\/strong>, Craig Green, Labrum London, Kiko Kostadinov, Nicholas Daley and Stefan Cooke. This group reflects the current strength of British menswear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vanguard Award <\/em><\/strong>recognises a new generation working from languages of rupture. The nominees are Aaron Esh, Dilara F\u0131nd\u0131ko\u011flu, Feben, Steve O Smith, Tolu Coker and Torish\u00e9ju Dumi. All of them push traditional boundaries and gain space in the global imagination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The list of nominees for the British Fashion Awards 2025<\/a> was defined by critics, editors and buyers. It will now move to a vote by leading members of the industry. The results will be announced in December at the Royal Albert Hall.
