The American actor and rapper Jaden Smith will move to Paris<\/strong> to take up the role of men\u2019s creative director at Christian Louboutin<\/a>. He will present his first collection in January during Men\u2019s Fashion Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smith will oversee four collections a year<\/strong>, including footwear, leather goods, and accessories. He will also be responsible for campaigns, events, and immersive experiences. His appointment will allow Louboutin to focus on expanding the women\u2019s line and to strengthen the men\u2019s category, which currently accounts for 24% of the business<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The designer met Smith in 2019 and recognised affinities in his creative approach and working style. Smith\u2019s appointment was not the result of a formal search but arose naturally from their professional relationship <\/strong>and shared approach to creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smith has experience in fashion and footwear collaborations, including his work with New Balance and his brand MSFTSrep<\/strong>, founded with his sister Willow and friends in 2012. He is currently preparing a new version of the brand, MSFTSRep Infinity, which will coexist alongside his role at Louboutin.<\/p>\n\n\n
