Shannade Morgan <\/a>articulates her work as an exercise in identity and confrontation through sound in ALTEREGO, her upcoming project. Her music blends genres and registers, from Spanish folklore to pop, from reggaeton to rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After EGO<\/em>, a first project of search and affirmation<\/a>, Morgan now presents a conceptual mixtape that functions as both the closing of a stage <\/strong>and a map of her transformations.<\/p>\n\n\n

Each genre responds to a specific dimension.<\/strong> Reggaeton reflects power, desire and conflict in the relationships between trans women and men; rock functions as an outlet in the face of the night, excess and chaos; and pop becomes a territory of the emotional and the direct, where vulnerability is exposed without mediation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ALTEREGO<\/em> does not seek a single definition, but rather to show multiplicity. Each track is a fragment of the same multiple narrative that reflects all the versions of Shannade Morgan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
