Anderson <\/a>digs into the archive again, but this time it isn\u2019t his own. Together with Wedgwood and the legacy of Lucie Rie, Jonathan Anderson rescues a set of cups and saucers designed in 1964 that were never produced. Sixty years later, these pieces are released in Wedgwood\u2019s signature blue with white inlays<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The capsule does not dwell on nostalgia. Anderson adds a series of mugs inspired by 5th-century BC Greek ceramics. He also debuts two merchandising items, a washed-cotton cap and a hybrid tote-shoulder bag<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All pieces are handcrafted in Wedgwood\u2019s workshops. The finishes are matte, with reliefs that verge on imperfection<\/strong>, as a nod to Rie\u2019s style. This mugs come in unconventional two-tone combinations, blue\/Saxon blue, brown\/black and yellow\/mimosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project also has an institutional component. Part of the sales will go to the new Lucie Rie and Hans Coper Foundation<\/strong>, dedicated to preserving archives and funding scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n
