Mickey Mouse has been everywhere since Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks created him in 1928. He has lent his image to countless products as the mascot of the Walt Disney Company, including wristwatches from a wide range of manufacturers and an equally diverse range of prices. From affordable Citizen and Swatch watches, on which pop artist Keith Haring redrew the famous mouse, to high-end timepieces by G\u00e9rald Genta, owned by Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fossil, the American group that markets its eponymous brand, also offers a Fossil Heritage x Disney line featuring watches dedicated to Mickey Mouse. It has many, and now it has launched a new special edition: Mickey Mouse Space Edition. In it, our protagonist abandons his characteristic red shorts, big shoes and white gloves to dress up as an astronaut.<\/p>\n\n\n

On this 40 mm diameter watch made of steel coated with white ceramic (inspired by the thermal and reflective coating of space shuttles, according to the brand), Mickey appears waving his arms to indicate the time, as usual. The icon floats among stars on an iridescent blue dial (sometimes bright, sometimes dark, almost black) dotted with constellations. Between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock, Saturn rotates, marking the seconds, powered by a Japanese automatic movement. The famous silhouette of the animal’s head is stamped in blue with a red border on the back of the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To adjust it to the wrist, it has been fitted with a white nylon strap with red details that evoke the materials of a space suit. Nick Jonas, who made his debut this year as a brand ambassador for Fossil, may have already worn it. The watch is priced at \u20ac449 and is available at El Corte Ingl\u00e9s stores and on the Fossil website<\/a><\/strong> while stocks last.<\/p>\n\n\n
