A groundbreaking collaboration.<\/h2>\n\n\n

Pull&Bear<\/strong><\/a>, through its streetwear sub-brand STWD, has joined forces with Californian label PLEASURES<\/strong> to launch a capsule collection that marks a turning point. The collection revisits the western genre from an urban, grunge perspective<\/strong>. Instead of following Hollywood’s idealised vision of the cowboy, the collection opts for a more realistic style that is closer to city life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The creative team at PLEASURES<\/strong> says that their inspiration comes from Los Angeles<\/strong>: \u2018We look at the beach, the desert, the mountains, and everything in between. We wanted to capture that clash between urban and rural.\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way, the aesthetic draws inspiration from the everyday style of young people in the 1970s<\/strong>. This style anticipated trends such as the thrift store trend of the 1990s. The collection combines basics and distinctive pieces, reinterpreting classic codes through boxy silhouettes, cropped garments and flared trousers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The materials include washed denim, thick flannel and heavier fabrics. All the pieces are designed to be durable and suitable for<\/strong> everyday<\/strong> wear<\/strong>. Colours range from browns and ochres to black and faded blues. The palette evokes both desert landscapes and industrial environments. The designers also highlight the fluidity of the creative process, with some adjustments made in just a few hours. This allowed them to maintain a fast and spontaneous pace throughout the project.<\/p>\n\n\n

The collection will be officially presented on 24 October<\/strong> at the Pompidou Centre in Paris<\/strong>, as part of the reopening of Art Basel Paris.
