On 1 November, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA<\/a><\/strong>) dressed up to celebrate a new edition of the Art+Film Gala 2025, the annual event presented by Gucci that brings together the most influential figures in art, film, fashion and global culture. Conceived as a night of tribute and philanthropy, the gala reaffirmed its position as one of the most important events on the international cultural calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike the big Hollywood awards, the Art+Film Gala maintains a less rigid atmosphere, where creativity, self-expression and stylistic risk-taking find their natural space. This year, the event honoured artist Mary Corse and filmmaker Ryan Coogler, two voices who embody the transformative power of their disciplines. The evening was co-chaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio, alongside Gucci’s Artistic Director Demna and the maison’s President and CEO Francesca Bellettini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parade of guests on the red carpet was a study in contrasts between classic elegance and contemporary experimentation. Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford offered an intergenerational dialogue through sequinned dresses, vibrant red for Gerber, timeless gold for Crawford, while Vittoria Ceretti took the notion of sparkle to sculptural territory with a deep-neckline gold dress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the men, heterogeneity was the norm. Troye Sivan imposed a new interpretation of menswear tailoring with an oversized suit with clean lines and sturdy boots; Damson Idris opted for the sobriety of a double-breasted suit, and Charlie Hunnam reinterpreted the formal code by replacing the jacket with an open velvet shirt, a gesture of masculinity increasingly free from convention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dinner was led by chef David Shim of the acclaimed COTE New York restaurant, the first Michelin-starred Korean steakhouse in the United States. The dishes were served on Ginori 1735 porcelain in Castagna and Meringa tones, in harmony with the colour palette of the space: intense browns and deep purples that evoked an atmosphere of quiet luxury. The evening culminated with a performance by Doja Cat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
