The independent studio A24<\/a><\/strong> steps off the screen with the opening of Wild Cherry<\/strong>, its first restaurant, located within the historic Cherry Lane Theatre<\/strong> in New York\u2019s West Village. The project brings together gastronomy, design and visual storytelling<\/strong> in a single setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since A24 acquired the iconic Off-Broadway theatre in 2023, its expansion beyond cinema seemed inevitable. Wild Cherry<\/strong> brings that vision to life: an intimate and elegant supper club<\/strong> where flavour, music and atmosphere merge like a film yet to be released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A kitchen with its own script<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The culinary direction is led by Lee Hanson<\/strong> and Riad Nasr<\/strong>, the chefs behind Frenchette, Le Rock and Le Veau d\u2019Or. Their menu strikes a balance between the raw and the comforting<\/strong>, offering a dining experience that flows naturally from start to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starters include oysters<\/strong>, tuna crudo<\/strong> and dressed crab<\/strong>, followed by dishes such as the lobster club<\/strong>, roasted monkfish kebab<\/strong> and a perfectly executed cheeseburger<\/strong>. For sharing, the steak for two<\/strong> arrives with baked potato, green salad and a sweet touch of soft-serve<\/strong> to close the meal on a playful, nostalgic note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the drinks list<\/strong> continues the story. With classic cocktails<\/strong>, natural wines<\/strong> and the standout Scorpion Bowl<\/strong> served in vintage Murano glass<\/strong>, the sense of theatre lasts until the very last sip.<\/p>\n\n\n

Design with a cinematic touch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The interior, designed by Zeb Stewart<\/strong>, translates A24\u2019s signature aesthetic\u2014restrained, melancholic and cinematic\u2014into a spatial language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 45-seat dining room features deep green banquettes<\/strong>, limewashed walls<\/strong> and a slatted ceiling<\/strong> that softens the light and creates an intimate mood. Meanwhile, chequerboard floors<\/strong> and fairground-style bulbs<\/strong> recall classic New York diners without resorting to nostalgia. At its centre, a horseshoe-shaped bar<\/strong> for twelve becomes the social heart of the space.<\/p>\n\n\n
