Gucci has confirmed that it will present its Cruise 2027<\/strong> collection in New York<\/strong> on 16 May 2026<\/strong>. It will be one of the most eagerly awaited shows of next year and will mark Demna’s<\/strong> first Cruise collection for the Italian fashion house. Following his debut on the catwalk last February, the creative director has already brought about a clear change in Gucci’s aesthetic language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation aims to unite the brand’s artisanal heritage with Demna’s own vision. His approach blends a contemporary and direct look at visual culture with his subversive style. Everything points to a Cruise collection that will go beyond the usual, combining the idea of travel with the strong and vibrant energy of New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A strategic and symbolic setting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The choice of New York is not only aesthetic. It also responds to a strategic objective. According to Bain & Company, the luxury market in the United States is experiencing a period of strength thanks to strong domestic demand. Altagamma also forecasts 4.5%<\/strong> growth in North America by 2026, driven by an increase in the number of people with high purchasing power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Presenting a fashion show of this magnitude in one of the world’s major financial and cultural centres puts Gucci in a key position. The firm is thus preparing to take advantage of a market that will continue to grow and has a major impact on its future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision also has historical significance. New York was the city where Gucci opened its first store outside Italy in 1953<\/strong>, a step that marked the beginning of its global expansion. With this new presentation, the House returns to a place that for decades has represented creativity, modernity and cultural dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
