Gucci<\/a><\/strong> unveils Generation Gucci<\/em>, the first creative proposal by Demna for the House. The collection is conceived as a lookbook documenting an imaginary runway show that never actually happened. Shot by Demna himself, the series serves as an aesthetic investigation that revisits visual codes and archival elements from different eras in Gucci\u2019s history. All of this anticipates the creative director\u2019s full vision, which will be revealed in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collection begins with lightweight tailoring crafted from archival silk faille, a fabric treated to reproduce an aged texture. In the womenswear looks, buttons disappear in favour of minimal fastenings that create a clean visual line. Two-piece suits are paired with legging-style trousers and a refined, definitive version of the Gucci pencil skirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Denim is reinterpreted through minimalist jeans with seamless construction, invisible pockets and hidden fastenings<\/strong>. These are joined by silk travel suits that evoke the comfort of pyjamas. The collection also incorporates surf-inspired pieces, translating the lines of neoprene into a technical mockneck and a fitted leather jacket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the collection\u2019s most intricate chapters is dedicated to textured coats. These pieces, as light as a peignoir, are created from strips and fragments of lambskin, silk, goat hair and feathers. All these elements are interwoven over transparent bases and linings in complex patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A festive wardrobe with retro inspiration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The festive wardrobe includes silhouettes inspired by lingerie, silk blouses, draped miniskirts with matching tops, and minimalist dresses made from fluid jersey and silk chiffon. The reinterpretation of 1970s and 1990s <\/strong>codes becomes tangible in racer jackets with the Web stripe and in belts presenting a new segmented reading of the Double G buckle. Full leather and suede looks also stand out, along with silk sets featuring equestrian prints drawn from archival scarves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Footwear with refined lines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The footwear focuses on clean, streamlined designs. Ballet flats inspired by the Valigeria line return, now also in men\u2019s sizes. Sleek loafers are constructed with the lightness of dance shoes.<\/strong> Stilettos feature padded insoles and innovative seamless heels. Meanwhile, classic loafers studded with metal spikes evoke pieces personalised by their future owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leather goods: new shapes and proportions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In leather goods, the Lunetta Phone+ bag<\/em><\/strong> appears in monogram canvas and metal mesh, designed to carry only daily essentials. The Jackie 1961 <\/em><\/strong>adopts new proportions, either in a compact rectangular shape or in a softened, enlarged silhouette crafted from calfskin and crocodile. The Dionysus<\/em><\/strong>, meanwhile, is redefined with a sharper angular form and a bolder presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Generation Gucci<\/em>, Demna builds a bridge between heritage and experimentation. The collection creates an aesthetic narrative that brings together different generations of the House in a single creative gesture and anticipates the new chapter to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
