Burberry<\/strong> has always been synonymous with innovation (and gabardine). This fabric, developed by Thomas Burberry<\/strong> in 1879, remains the technical and symbolic heart of the British fashion house<\/a><\/strong> almost a century and a half later. Resistant, functional and elegantly timeless, gabardine has protected entire generations from the harshest weather, from historic expeditions to rainy days in London<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To celebrate this living legacy, we present the \u201cGabardine Capsule\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, a collection that looks back to project itself into the future. Alongside it, a film shot in Snowdonia<\/strong>, Wales<\/strong>, introduces us to a setting as beautiful as it is untamed, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of the brand: nature, adventure and British essence. Starring explorers Connaire Cann<\/strong>, Jesse Grylls<\/strong> and Marlon Patrice<\/strong>, alongside models Iris<\/strong> Lasnet<\/strong> and Zhu\u00f3<\/strong> Chen<\/strong>, the audiovisual piece stands as an ode to experimentation and movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the year Burberry<\/strong> celebrates its 170th anniversary, the Gabardine Capsule<\/strong><\/em> <\/strong>is <\/strong>a true tribute to its greatest creative milestones. Everything revolves around garments made entirely of gabardine \u2013 or enriched with details of the fabric \u2013 and is complemented by knitted capes and soft cotton jersey pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The great classics of outerwear are reimagined under a new prism: technical parkas, down-filled coats, Harrington jackets, bomber jackets and quilted silhouettes take on new looks with more materials and colours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a direct nod to its cultural heritage and historical connection to outdoor life, Burberry<\/strong> incorporates a special label inspired by a 1993 archive campaign that reads \u201cBurberrys grew out of country life\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
