In particular, the situation directly affects some of the world\u2019s most influential luxury houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to court documents filed in Texas, the retail group has accumulated <strong>more than $700 million<\/strong> in obligations to its 30 largest unsecured creditors. In addition, total estimated liabilities range <strong>between $1 billion and $10 billion<\/strong>, highlighting the scale of the financial challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the most significant creditors is <strong>Chanel<\/strong>, which tops the list with an outstanding debt of<strong> $136 million<\/strong>. It is followed by <strong>Kering<\/strong>, the group behind Gucci and Balenciaga, with<strong> $60 million.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other affected companies include<strong> Capri Holdings<\/strong> ($33.3 million),<strong> LVMH <\/strong>($26 million),<strong> Christian Louboutin<\/strong> ($21.5 million) and <strong>The Est\u00e9e Lauder Companies<\/strong> ($16 million).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-an-uncertain-outlook\">An uncertain outlook<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Against this backdrop, Saks Global \u2014 parent company of Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman \u2014 is facing a particularly delicate moment in its relationship with suppliers. In bankruptcy proceedings, unsecured creditors are generally paid last. As a result, there is significant <strong>uncertainty surrounding the recovery of outstanding payments.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While major luxury conglomerates have greater capacity to absorb potential losses, the impact is far more severe for independent designers. In fact, many of these brands rely on the group<strong> for up to 50% of their revenue<\/strong>, placing their long-term viability at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"h-operational-continuity-despite-the-crisis\">Operational continuity despite the crisis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the situation, several brands are expected to continue working with the group. Saks Global has secured <strong>$1.75 billion in new financing<\/strong>.
