Sonya Sombreuil<\/strong> is the visual artist who made COME TEES<\/strong> come true: a new streetwear paradigm<\/strong> that houses unique silkscreened, deconstructed and painted pieces from her L.A. studio<\/strong>, for the entire universe.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It all started in 2009<\/strong>, when the creative director of COME TEES<\/strong> was immersed in the musical community. That’s when she decided to project her passion in the creation of t-shirts<\/strong> for bands<\/strong> she knew. A few years later, from that creative root, the project grew to become what it is today: an icon of the art-tee movement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Shirts, hats, sneakers or jeans of retro inspiration<\/strong> pass through the hands of Sombreuil and become works of art, of a pictorial style and\/or abstract expressionism<\/strong> similar to that of Basquiat<\/strong>, both for its aesthetics and for its references in the world of graffiti. Sonya submerges all that imaginary of vibrant colors in silkscreened garments<\/strong>, through a methodical process in which he places the ink deeply on his fabrics so that they last forever.<\/p>\n

COME TEES has collaborated with designers such as Election Reform!<\/strong>, Eckhaus Latta<\/strong> or No Ssesso<\/strong>, but has also designed skateboards by Eric Koston. In all this, he impregnates his style with irregular lines<\/strong>, scribbled text, surrealistic images or abstract figures immersed in tie-dye prints. His aggressive brushstrokes<\/strong> trace transcendental messages<\/strong> that elude different social themes such as feminism<\/strong>, religion, politics<\/strong> or effervescent positivity.<\/p>\n

Of all these collections<\/a><\/strong> signed x @cometees<\/a><\/strong>, the capsule entitled ‘Weather Diaries’<\/strong> stands out, which includes an infinite number of denim garments covered with graffiti<\/strong> and all-around energetic colour stains<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
