Global fashion search engine Lyst<\/strong> launches The Lyst Index 2T 2019<\/strong>, a quarterly ranking of the most desired brands and products<\/strong> of the moment. We tell you the results.<\/p>\n

\"Yeezy\"<\/p>\n

The Lyst<\/strong><\/a> platform has already unveiled this year’s second installment of the Lyst Index, a report on the most coveted products and brands in the fashion world. To make the ranking, the search engine analyzes the online behavior of more than 5 million users<\/strong> looking for and buying fashion from 12,000 different stores and designers<\/strong> online, as well as data extracted from social media<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Lyst Index 2T 2019<\/h3>\n

First place goes to Gucci<\/strong>, which is once again crowned as the most desirable brand on the planet<\/strong>. It is the fifth time in two years that the Italian house has the honour of first place. It is followed by Off-White<\/strong> and Balenciaga<\/strong>, respectively.<\/p>\n

\"Jitney<\/p>\n

The top #1 in the women’s category is for the Jitney 1.4 Off-White c\/o Virgil Abloh bag<\/strong>. Which is not surprising given the fan phenomenon that has awakened the designer in a very short time, becoming one of the most known and admired figures in the industry. As for the list of most popular men’s products, Yeezy Boost 350 V2<\/strong> reflective sneakers in static black win.<\/p>\n

\"Fur<\/p>\n

Good news: sustainability and diversity initiatives<\/strong> and respect for the environment and oppressed or minority groups<\/strong> have become one of the main factors determining a brand’s ranking in the Index. From the mannequins by Nike<\/strong> that promote\u00a0body diversity to the antifur movement<\/strong><\/a>, these types of actions have proven to position brands very high on the social ladder and improve their reputation. The support of well-known faces<\/strong> and collaborations between brands<\/strong> are the other two factors that complete the trio of influence.<\/p>\n

Influencers continue to be determinant when it comes to creating interest<\/strong> in a particular product. The garments worn by celebrities in their photos in Instagram fully enter the top and increase their internet searches in a massive way. For example, the famous tie-dye polo by Ralph Lauren<\/strong>, dressed by Gigi Hadid<\/strong>, Adwoa<\/strong> Aboah<\/strong> and Nina Suess<\/strong>; or the striped body by Adidas x Ji Won Choi<\/strong> worn by Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong>, owe their success to this.<\/p>\n

We welcome the new products and trends that have entered this new The Lyst Index. The luggage appears for the first time<\/strong> in the first positions of the hand of Rimowa<\/strong>, which has consolidated its hollow within the sector of the fashion of luxury. The heels are back<\/strong> too (although we don’t want to say goodbye to sneakers yet). Strippy<\/em> by Topshop<\/strong> is the sixth most popular product for women. Bottega Veneta<\/strong>, with a new image and direction, boasts the fifth position with The Pouch<\/em> bag, which has climbed eight places at an impressive speed. Summer fashion also enters the men’s wardrobe<\/strong>. Men are becoming more and more open to products that were recently considered merely functional and far from being categorised as fashion. Bucket hats, flip flops or Hawaiian shirts are some of them.<\/p>\n
