A$AP Rocky wanted to recount the experience of that tragic, heartbreaking episode in the summer of 2019. The documentary entitled “Stockholm Syndrome”, which will premiere on 13 June at the Tribeca Film Festival, will feature appearances from the #FreeRocky clan such as Kim Kardashian, Naomi Campbell and Tyler, the Creator.
The rapper is set to screen those experiences in a Swedish prison, which were triggered by his arrest and charges of assault in Stockholm.
According to the festival’s description, the documentary directed by the filmmaking collective The Architects will trace the artist’s “meteoric rise… before taking a detour into obscurity”. The film will feature a mix of archival video, contemporary interviews, animation, and live concert footage, as well as appearances from other stars who joined his liberation movement, such as A$AP Ferg.
