Balenciaga continues its trend of retro-futuristic glasses with the launch of the Shield Rectangle sunglasses that come in blue, silver and black.
These lenses designed by Demna Gvasalia take us back to the 1990s, offering three basic components of the time: coloured lenses, tiny frames and an acetate base. Other design cues from the 1990s include the lightweight cat’s-eye shape, where the lenses are raised on the sides, as well as the “BB” signature in the center of the bridge.
The “BB” brand is made of metal and connects aesthetically with the screws visible on each side of the frame, another classic from nineties. Balenciaga glasses are not just for transform you in the coolest, they have also 100% UVA and UVB protection.
Here are the three models that are already available for 295 euros at balenciaga.com.
