Technology and fashion meet once again thanks to the union between Balmain and Barbie. Through a capsule collection made up of more than 50 pieces, French style becomes the starting point of a multicultural and inclusive campaign.
This is the doll brand’s debut in the world of digital art. For this, it has the recognition of the French luxury house, Balmain, and together they have created various NFTs inspired by the brand. The iconic elegant garments of the maison stand out, such as the shiny monogrammed dress or the blazer with puffed and pointed sleeves. The typography that marks Barbie‘s identity takes over the Balmain logo, where the characteristic bubblegum pink colour is ever-present. Charlotte Stockdale and Katie Lyall styled the campaign, while Norbert Schoerner captured the images.
Balmain x Barbie will be on sale from 13 January. You can find the collection in Balmain‘s online boutique, on the Mattel Creations website and at a number of retailers. In addition, the NFTs will be auctioned on 11 and 14 January.
