Classics Converse Chuck 70 Hi and Pro Leather are back in the spotlight after the name of their latest collaboration with Bandulu was revealed. The new iterations feature the street couture brand’s signature embroidery that resembles paint splatters. The result is a new collection of basketball sneakers made from recycled materials. In addition, they have also announced the launch of a clothing line.
Bandulu x Converse is an ode to basketball, Pollock and street couture. Thus, Pat Peltier (@badboipipipi), founder of Bandulu, has transferred the spirit of his brand to that of Converse to create new versions of Chuck 70 Hi and Pro Leather.
Each pair is replete with embroidered splashes in the form of paint splatters. The Chuck 70 Hi model has been released in a brown colorway reminiscent of hemp. It also features different textures and shades such as purple, orange, navy blue or gray. The Bandulu logo appears on the tongue and the Converse logo respects its usual position.
The Pro Leather has a more workwear style with a nubuck upper. This model features fewer embroidered paint splatters highlighting the Converse and Bandulo logos in ochre.
