The new Balenciaga extravaganza: here arrives the Toe Shoe

The new Balenciaga move remains true to the maison’s line of extravagance. Uglyness has a new unbeatable icon: the Toe Shoe, the rubber shoes with five separate toes. 

After the platform Crocs broke all the rules in the SS18 collection, now Demna Gvasalia puts Balenciaga back on the front page with a new ugly icon that turns the industry upside down. And that, perhaps, will again cause a display of imitations.

The most commented on Balenciaga FW20, a show that focuses on the danger of climate change, was undoubtedly this new footwear proposed by the brand. A waterproof rubber shoe that has made its way down the catwalk with an ergonomic style that separates the five toes.
