Versace takes us to the bottom of the sea in SS21

Donatella Versace takes us to the bottom of the sea in her new SS21 Versapolis collection. The pieces are presented in their most dynamic and colorful versions based on marine prints. Once again, the presentation has exceeded all expectations.

Versapolis is Versace’s new imagery that recreates the seabed through a series of bold, sinuous looks. The big stars were the ruffles, which recreate the movement of the waves, and the updated versions of Versace’s famous marine prints.

The color palette features vibrant tones, highlighting the presence of cobalt blue in contrast to red or yellow. Marine animals are present in the most striking pieces of the proposal. Thus, we are even presented with the occasional flesh and blood mermaid. Another aspect to celebrate is how Versace has demonstrated its commitment to making the diversity of the body visible.
