It’s the iconic French film La Haine’s birthday. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Carhartt WIP has created an exclusive capsule collection in collaboration with its creator and director Matthieu Kassowitz.
Released in 1995, “La Haine” tells the story of 20 hours in the life of three friends – Vinz, Saïd and Hubert – on the outskirts of Paris. The film was shot entirely in black and white as well as the lookbook for this collection.
The resulting capsule consists of seven pieces, including a hooded sweatshirt, T-shirts, and a hat similar to the one worn by Hubert’s character. Three of the t-shirts feature photos from behind the scenes of photographer Gilles Favier.
One of the highlights is an embroidered jacket, like the one used in the
the Kassowitz film, a classic of the brand. This piece is exclusive to
Friends and family of Carhartt WIP, and members of the film team.
Carhartt WIP for La Haine 25th Anniversary will be available from December 3rd in selected Carhartt WIP stores and on the Carhartt WIP website.
