Converse and Slam Jam have just announced their latest collaboration. Presented in a meeting place, the images show the designs as they bring us closer to what could be a 21st century fairytale. The result is a collection of updated trainers and garments perfect for the season.
Misty castles and updated designs. That’s the latest Converse x Salm Jam collection, shot at Fontainebleu Palace. Just as spring arrives and we are about to say goodbye to the cold days, this collection is perfect for rediscovering the stimuli of the outdoors.
The pieces in the collection range from a water-repellent version of the classic Converse Bosey MC trainers in Hi and Ox cut, to a reversible sherpa jacket, ripstop trousers, a hoodie and a long-sleeved T-shirt. The result is a collection reminiscent of utilitarian style, but with the sporty touch of converse.
The proposal is accentuated with different metallic and rubber details that add resistance to the garments.
The campaign was shot in black and white by art director Chris Glickman. Inspired by the way artists are influenced by natural and organic forms, Glickman added: “Exploring spaces and forms that remain largely unchanged provides us an opportunity to create perspective and ideally step back from the constant need to move and push forward regardless of consequence.”
Now our minds can’t stop exploring the palace’s twists and turns and imagining what the collection would look like right there.
Converse x Slam Jam will be available from 20 March on the Slam Jam website and the Converse website. Click here if you want to discover the latest Converse x Chinatwon Market collection.
