After presenting an anime collection, UNIQLO UT turns to the originality of contemporary artist Jeff Koons to design new collaborative garments.
Koons‘ art shocked the world in 2019, when his stainless steel sculpture Rabbit sold for $91.1 million. It was the most expensive work of art ever sold by a living artist. Now, this piece and four others -including the Balloon Dog– are materialised in graphics that decorate sweatshirts and T-shirts from the Japanese brand.
“I really like how UNIQLO is in touch with my generation, but also with a younger generation,” says the American artist. “Everyone enjoys their clothes, and enjoys them very much. I love that sense of unity. I hope this collaboration helps people around the world connect with each other and that art enriches their everyday lives.”
The new UNIQLO UT x Jeff Koons designs are now available in stores and on the brand’s website.
