Mark Zuckerberg’s goal threatens to shut down Instagram

Mark Zuckerberg is threatening to shut down Facebook and Instagram in Europe if he is not allowed to store, transfer and process his European users’ data on US servers.

This is not the first time that Zuckerberg has raised this possibility in his negotiations with the European Union, with which he is currently engaged in a battle to be able to continue transferring the data of his users on the old continent to the United States, a practice that has been overturned by the EU Court of Justice.

Specifically, they are seeking the adoption of a new framework for the transfer of data information from Europe to the United States. However, EU law does not recognise this practice as fair and is taking care to protect (at least to some extent) our data.

This all came to light after a Facebook user requested that his data not be transferred to any other server as the security guarantee provided by this platform is not what was promised. Perhaps it is worth saying goodbye to Instagram in exchange for protecting our privacy.

Now… Why don’t you take a look at Henrik Vibskov’s latest collection?
