‘Out of Time’ is The Weeknd’s latest release, which comes with an intriguing music video starring Abel Tesfaye himself, HoYeon Jung and Jim Carrey.
The audiovisual piece, directed by Cliqua, tells a seemingly amusing story. Tesfaye and Jung meet in the lift of a luxurious hotel to go to a mysterious karaoke room. There, they share a good time singing and dancing to ‘Out of Time’. But the good times end in the final sequence, which features Jim Carrey himself playing a dark character and a voiceover that says “Soon you will be healed, forgiven and refreshed, free of all trauma, pain, guilt and shame”.
‘Out of Time’ is part of Dawn FM, The Weeknd‘s latest album released last January. A sales success that reached number 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and features the participation of great artists such as Tyler, The Creator, Lil Wayne and Quincy Jones, among others.
