Rhuigi Villaseñor has poured all his memories into the new FW23 season of his personal brand RHUDE. A gas station where a Lamborghini is parked is the place where all the designer’s childhood dreams come true.
For the new collection of her own brand, Rhuigi chooses Los Angeles as a location where to reflect in a resounding way the imaginary of her youth and the stylistic influences that have led her to the present time.
The gas station that Rhuigi Villaseñor has reconstructed for her fashion show, entitled “Rhude Awakening: Fuel My Fire” is just the way used to bring out her stylistic references.
The mythical silhouettes of 90s hip-hop and the typical Los Angeles scene flood the runway. In short, all the stylistic codes with which Villaseñor would grow up around. Nods to basketball apparel and automotive are evident, while retaining the brand’s mature and established profile in the designs. The collaboration with Lamborghini also translated into several pieces in the collection.
Just two weeks away from unveiling his second collection for Bally, Rhuigi draws on his memory to offer a collection full of sensitivity and personal inspiration.
