Singer, designer and make up business entrepreneur Rihanna launched her first Fenty Beauty perfume a few seasons ago. Since then, Fenty Eau de Parfum has become a best seller.
“The fragrance is very personal – it represents something different and has a unique scent for each person,” explains the artist herself. A fragrance that is deeply intimate, complex, dynamic, raw, spicy and sweet at the same time. Magnolia, musk, mandarin and Bulgarian rose create a warm and sensual floral trail. Enriched with unexpected notes of vanilla, cranberry, coconut, geranium and patchouli, the perfume is designed for everyone and every occasion.
The singer hand-selected the key notes of magnolia, musk, mandarin and Bulgarian rose in Grasse, France, with LVMH master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud to create a warm and sensual floral experience. The fragrance is inspired by different memories and places Rihanna treasures from throughout her life: Bridgetown (Barbados), Grasse (France), New York (New York), Paris (France) and Los Angeles (California).
Rihanna has always believed that fragrance is one of the most personal aspects of a beauty routine, and she wanted to weave that sensoriality into every element of the Fenty Eau de Parfum experience, from the fragrance notes to the bottle design. This scent is the true embodiment of Rihanna, the bottle was designed to fit perfectly in her hand and represents a harmonious balance of femininity and masculinity.
“I wanted a rich colour that really represented all genders from all walks of life. Brown is my favourite colour. Brown is who I am. Brown is where I come from. If I’m going to make a fragrance that represents me, even the body language of the bottle has to match that. So I wanted something brown, but also transparent, so you can see the liquid and the fragrance you’re going to experience,” explains Rihanna.
