Ghibli Park and Toyota want to make ‘My Neighbour Totoro’ Catbus a reality

Attention Studio Ghibli lovers! Following its recent opening, Ghibli Park is teaming up with Toyota to develop a new attraction based on the Catbus.

Evoking the big, smiling, twelve-legged cat from the film ‘My Neighbour Totoro’, the Toyota APM (originally developed for the Tokyo Olympics) will be adapted to transport visitors to the park. The design will remain faithful to the figure and will include numerous technological enhancements that will allow passengers to feel as if they are inside the film.

It should be noted that the vehicles will be fully electric and environmentally friendly, in keeping with the automaker‘s commitment to the environment.
