It will be possible to verify your Facebook and Instagram accounts

Meta has just announced the implementation of ‘Meta Verified’, a verification system on Instagram and Facebook that guarantees protection for users.

Through subscriptions, Facebook and Instagram users will be able to access verified badges and thus combat the fake accounts that are a constant threat on the Internet.

This new update will offer government identification including a blue badge, additional anti-phishing protection and direct access to the platforms’ customer support.

The monthly subscription for web will be priced at $11.99 per month, while iOS will cost $14.99. The new upgrade will be rolled out in Australia and New Zealand for now, but will be rolled out to all other countries over the coming months.
