Decoding the UNDERCOVER x Supreme SS23 Collection

The hype surrounding the new collaboration between Supreme and UNDERCOVER has just expired. The images of the SS23 collection have already been released to satisfy the material needs of the streetwear community, to be able to decode all the pieces that compose them.

This continuing drop of the “Public Enemy” collection designed by the cult creative duo in 2018, continues this subcultural love story through an expansive collection defined by Jun Takahashi’s distinctive design codes, amidst heavy doses of graphic content and tones, silhouettes and textures.

The collection showcases a series of aesthetics deified within the fashion system such as motorcore or footballcore, materialized in the form of motorcycle jerseys or soccer jerseys such as “REBELGODS”. The proposal also includes a series of outerwear items such as the update of the iconic puffer with leather sleeves, reimagined with studs and the “NO GODS NO MASTERS” graphic dyed in two colorways. Within the same type of garment, a trench coat and a down jacket coexist with an Arabic script inscribed on them, transferred in the same way to jeans and a short-sleeved T-shirt.

AN IDENTITY CONNECTION

Co-branding runs throughout the collection in a variety of prints, including coordinated looks such as the BDU jacket with rhinestone studs to match the Moto jersey. There are also other synchronized pieces such as the UNDERCOVER Brain Crossbones branded track jacket and pants set.
