Yung Beef returns with ‘Gangsta Paradise’, his long-awaited new album that shows what his everyday life as a trap pioneer is like.
And what better way to present it than by handing out €5,000 in cash in the middle of Plaza de Callao? In true OG style, Yung Beef surprised passers-by by showing what paradise means to him.
Released through the label La Vendición Records, ‘Gangsta Paradise’ is tinged with a bloody red that symbolises the inherent violence of the street; a white that hints at drug use and a black that symbolises death. Three elements that are present in the six songs that make up the album.
For Fernando, ‘Gangsta Paradise’ is being outside the system, finding absolute happiness in family, the beach and nature. A longed-for place for someone who does not renounce his perpetual connection to the neighbourhood and its codes, who knows the danger of excess and who defends himself with whatever he has at hand in tense moments.
