This is the collection of three transparent face masks launched by Maison Margiela directed by Galliano.
Maison Margiela has launched a new transparent face mask in three different formats. Designed by the iconic John Galliano, it looks like a nod to BDSM accessories that cover the face to symbolize submission through consensual dehumanization. The house has linked it to the world of fencing, but it looks quite similar to the sexual accessory, intentionally or not.
Transparent and made of luxury materials, the mask comes in white for $510, in black for $250, and in the “Palladium” version for $210. According to the product description on the website, it “plays with identity; this fabric mask lightly covers the face with stretch georgette.”
The accessory features pleats in the back using a knotting mechanism, and in front the pleats stretch and deform the face. You can find it on the Maison Margiela website in three colors.
On the other hand, we tell you about the rebellion of the babydolls.
