The streetwear brand announces a new collection in collaboration with the duo Gang Starr, which will be available later this week.
On the occasion of hip hop’s 50th anniversary, Stüssy wanted to pay tribute to the iconic Brooklyn duo Gang Starr formed by DJ Premier and Guru, considered one of the best duos in the history of the genre. The artists combine New York jazz and hip hop on their seven full-length LPs.
The collection includes several T-shirts with iconic Gang Starr lyrics, such as those for “Take It Personal” and “Daily Operation,” which was released in 1992. There will also be garments with images of the duo. In the teaser we see sound engineer and DJ Mo Yasin wearing the collaboration.
The pieces will go on sale April 7 at Stüssy and select stores.
