Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) returned to Decentraland for its eagerly awaited second edition. Last year, the event welcomed over 108,000 attendees. This year, the event’s theme was “Future Heritage”, experimenting with a diversity of aesthetics through the fusion of innovation and tradition.

From virtual catwalks to after-parties without lists (not forgetting tributes to Vivienne Westwood and Cristóbal Balenciaga), MVFW offered a packed programme of experiences designed exclusively by 63 different fashion houses, including Coach, DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger and Dolce & Gabbana.

DRESSX took Web3 to the next level by hosting a series of immersive activations at Decentraland. The platform kicked off MVFW with the DUNDAS digital fashion show and introduced two innovative 3D designers, Injury and Blade Runway. But it didn’t stop there, as DRESSX joined forces with Tommy Hilfiger to launch a 3D collection and opened a purely digital pop-up window in Metajuku with Original Penguin.

ZERO10 and Coach teamed up to offer an exclusive activation within Decentraland. The leading fashion AR technology company recreated the traditional brand’s iconic Tabby Bag in digital form and developed an immersive fashion experience; where players could embark on a quest in Coach’s temporary shop in Decentraland.

The Digital Fashion Institute used the second edition of Metaverse Fashion Week to celebrate new talent and continue to build a more sustainable fashion future. IoDF selected British designer Bradley Sharpe to design exclusive outfits for the occasion.
