Jacquemus is one of the hottest brands of the moment, there’s no doubt about it. A title that Simon Porte, the brand’s creative director at the head of the brand, has won with all his strength. With spring at its peak, the French brand has launched a photo shoot in which some of its latest launches become true artistic sculptures, through the lens of Théo de Gueltzl.
After witnessing several ‘Le Bambino’ bags roaming the streets of Paris thanks to 3D rendering, and Porte’s expansion into interior design through its latest ‘Objets’ collection, the brand is back with a bang with a series of “Jacquemus sculptures”.
The visual journey in the shape of a photographic campaign by Théo is the perfect reflection of Simon’s connection with the world of art and cinema. Jacquemus’ recent creations are mixed with aesthetic elements to create images that look like they’ve been taken from the magical land of Oz. The looks begin with a collage of pages torn from the book ‘Images’, including photos taken with the designer’s iPhone. Also, leather goods from ‘Objets’ are reimagined, daisies are used as appliqués, overlapping bags, quilted denim outfits or furry yeti-like outfits.
