Telfar could be preparing a beauty line

Telfar has settled a trademark application dispute with Charlotte Tilbury, whereby it sought to register in Class 3 of goods (makeup, skincare and fragrances).

Telfar could be preparing a beauty line

According to The Fashion Law, Telfar is abandoning a trademark application it had first filed in 2021 for Class 3 products (makeup, skin care and fragrances) under the TC logo, the initials of Telfar Clemens.

Charlotte Tilbury filed a notice of opposition claiming that it would be harmed if Telfar were registered in class 3 as the logo is “confusingly similar” to its CT logo. The New York-based trademark, after initially dismissing Charlotte Tilbury’s opposition, eventually agreed to remove the Class 3 goods from its application, although it will move forward with Classes 14 (jewelry), 18 (bags and luggage) and 25 (clothing).

What seems to be clear is that Telfar was planning to launch a line of beauty products, and despite the legal dispute, the brand may resume its plan at some point.

On the other hand, Corteiz continues to expand.
