The historic Renaissance Società del Giardino became the perfect setting to display this proposal with which the cult label celebrated its 10th anniversary, among glazed tiles and endless ceilings adorned with cornices. An architectural and sculptural work on which Dohum Kim generated contrast through avant-garde pieces connected to the zeitgeist of fashion.
Dohum Kim thus directed this new episode for the SS24 season entitled “The 10th Anniversary” in which the designer nostalgically evokes his teenage years, and that experimental spirit with which to play with DIY and styling, between military-inspired and motor-core elements.
Within the collection we can appreciate a constant exploration of opposites and material distortion through combinations such as sweatpants with worn denim shorts, denim miniskirts with pleated skirts or acid-washed jeans with thick twill cargo pants. A whole selection that has just been deconstructed through frayed hems, twisted buttons or garments “under construction”.
Beyond denim as the key fabric of the sartorial composition, and representative designs such as utility vests, camouflage pants or bombers with multiple pockets, vase-shaped or pea-shaped bags are represented as elevated accessories with which ADSB closes this playful and experimental debut within the framework of Milan Fashion Week.
