The creative director continues to focus on British wardrobe archetypes with more close-fitting cuts and inspiration from the outdoors.
Archival checks are reimagined and celebrated. Happy scarves, made in Scotland from Burberry Check cashmere, now feature fringing on each vertical side. Trench coats, car coats, wool coats, blanket coats, duvets, parkas, aviator field jackets and bomber jackets are positioned as the key pieces in the collection and are paired with kilt, tracksuits and rugby shirts. Leather jackets with Equestrian Knight Design details also feature prominently.
Refinement is based on functionality and finishes. Hoods are attached to silk chiffon dresses, scarves to ribbed knits and jackets to shoulders. Zips and press studs allow the garments to be adjusted and add an extra touch of versatility.
Bright blue details are included in the piping on the silk pyjamas and also on the fastenings of the quilted jackets, as well as the stitching on the coats. The rest of the collection is tinged with a colour palette composed of sober colours and cheerful prints. Finally, the tailoring and fabrics are inspired by Savile Row, with jackets featuring peaked lapels and hourglass waists and knitwear maintaining traditional patterns.
