Georges Wendell’s SS24 collection celebrates the career of French golfer Jean Van de Verde while challenging conventional ideas of fame, success and social status.
In addition to exploring the more snobbish side of life, the firm has partnered with La Manso through a very simple concept: to search for jewellery and objects in various Parisian flea markets that reflect the lifestyle of the French capital and then design exclusive pieces. Pierre Kaczmarek, the brand’s creative director, decided to give carte blanche to the Barcelona jeweller, as he has full confidence in her vision and believes that they share many references. The aim was to create jewellery that would combine the most pop style with the baroque spirit of the oldest jewels that Madame Wendell might have had in her jewellery box.
And speaking of unique pieces… Have you seen Hublot’s new watch in collaboration with Takashi Murakami?
