SABABA is the third preview of OROVEGA’s upcoming EP. Inspired by vintage reggaeton classics and accompanied by a minimalist production, the artist shows us her naughty side with this song that talks about a never-ending relationship, in which the sexual tension never ends.
OROVEGA combines unbridled verses, with a refrain that hums like a lifelong refrain. The word SABABA, used in any situation in Israel and meaning “great”, “all good”, “fun” or simply used when you agree with someone, is repeated ad nauseam throughout the song, followed by a few phrases in French, in which the artist confesses her insatiable desire to the boy.
The track is accompanied by a suggestive video clip directed by EUSSE in which OROVEGA is the host of a big party under the sun. A secret garden with a swimming pool where almost fantastic creatures wander around in full communion with the environment and the wishes of their hostess. Of Sephardic Spanish origin, OROVEGA shines in the new national music scene, with a proposal that stands out for its ability to re-imagine genres such as pop or urban music and impregnate them with dyes of roots, creating a complex sonic and visual universe that impacts everyone who discovers it.
