The Belgian designer’s long-awaited runway show at Paris Fashion Week was held in an abandoned building in the Opera district.
The contrast between the cluttered walls and debris in the environment merged with Dries Van Noten’s elegant women’s fashion proposal. The collection was a balance between relaxation and sophistication, all accompanied by the sound of rain in the background.
The presentation began with structured blazers paired with cargo skirts in shades of khaki. Denim ensembles featured subtle faded effects, while asymmetrical knitwear showcased stripes in strategic places. Van Noten explored athletic rugby uniforms, presenting high-necked shirts of colossal dimensions, which were mirrored by wide-leg pants and matching bags in shades of purple and green.
Diverse prints dominated throughout the collection, including swirls, checks, sequins, feathers and pearls that were featured on puffed coats, knee-length shorts and V-neck bodysuits.
