The singer shared this news on his SiriusXM radio show, “Table for One,” highlighting the importance of prioritizing his wellness in light of recurring stomach problems.
“I probably won’t be making music for a while, I’m going to be honest with you guys. I need to focus on my health, first and foremost,” Drake said during the show.
“I’ve been having the craziest problems with my stomach for years. I need to get well, I have a lot of other things I’d love to focus on, so I’m going to close the studio door for a little bit. I don’t know what a little bit is. Maybe a year or so. Maybe a little longer,” he added.
While taking this time off from the studio, Drake is celebrating the release of his highly anticipated eighth studio album, “For All the Dogs”. This one is approximately one hour and 30 minutes long with 23 tracks, and features collaborations with artists such as Bad Bunny, 21 Savage, Teezo Touchdown, J. Cole, Yeat, SZA, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Chief Keef, Sexxy Red and Lil Yachty, plus a special contribution from his son, Adonis.
