Last Friday, the 30-year-old artist finalized her divorce with her ex-husband, and as part of this agreement, she will make an immediate payment of $1,250,000. In addition, there will be no spousal support, as Dalton will receive the agreed sum in advance.
Gomez will also get half of the proceeds generated from the sale of her Los Angeles home. To complete the settlement, Ariana has agreed to assume up to $25,000 in attorney’s fees for her ex-partner. The agreement has been filed with the court and only a judge’s signature is needed to make the divorce official.
A source close to the situation shared with TMZ that “there is still strong love and mutual respect between Ariana and Dalton, and they wanted to make sure everything was done right in unison.”
Grande and Gomez were married for two years before the singer filed for divorce less than a month ago, aiming to move the process along quickly and ensure a clean split. According to the divorce documents, the separation date is recorded as Feb. 20.
Ariana Grande’s attorney, Laura Wasser, is known for obtaining quick and efficient divorce settlements, as she recently did with ex-couple Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner.
Before the divorce was finalized, it was learned that Ariana Grande had begun a new relationship with her “Wicked Part 1” co-star Ethan Slater, who is also in the midst of divorce proceedings with his wife. Dalton Gomez is also reportedly dating someone in this new stage of his life.
On the other hand, Drake will be taking a break from music due to health issues.
