Clarks has been launching collaborations with the music scene for some time now and now it’s the turn of English singer and songwriter Jorja Smith, who has designed a mule version of the Clark Originals Desert Nomad.
Jorja Smith joins Clarks’ experimental division for the first time, reinterpreting the Desert Nomad model. Featuring a Sciarada EVOLO (sustainable suede) upper, the shoe retains the classic Desert Nomad styling, but in mule form, presumably building on the success of Birkenstock’s Boston clogs. The silhouette arriving in black features recycled laces and a crepe sole.
“Clarks means so much to so many different groups of people, I’m excited to have the opportunity to add to that legacy. I wanted to work on a profile that is different but, most importantly, wearable. Overall, my style is simple and relaxed, and the shoes reflect that. They are comfortable and casual, but with a lot of individuality,” explains the English singer and songwriter.
The Wallabee silhouette from Clarks gets into the spirit of Stüssy in a gathering that celebrates the figures of the French deck of cards.
