The exclusive collaboration was confirmed during the last edition of NYFW, with a runway show held at the iconic Plaza Hotel.
‘BIMBA Y PALOMO’ fuses the avant-garde language and the artisan spirit to give rise to a new common creative space that highlights the local feelings of both brands. Alejandro Gómez Palomo continues to revolutionise haute couture since 2015, the year in which he began to express his passion for folklore and the art of craftsmanship through his designs that have gained global recognition.
Now, he joins forces with BIMBA Y LOLA to create an elegant and cosmopolitan collection where the common thread is the figure of the rose. On a palette of red, black and white, leather pieces emerge in the form of maxi coats, skirts and biker jackets that mix the codes of motorcore with details of the faralaes costume and the universe of the corsairs, with frills, corsets and ruffles. Among all the garments, there is one that stands out from the rest: the asymmetrical slip dress in triacetate satin that takes the shape of a flamingo’s tail. The collection also includes a selection of jewellery made up of necklaces, bracelets, rings and XXL earrings full of floral motifs as well as leather bags and elevated shoes.
