Located at number 53 Passeig de Gràcia, just a few metres from Casa Batlló, the 144 m2 space is disruptive and welcoming.
This special inauguration celebrates the opening of the second Dr. Martens store in Barcelona and the sixth in Spain, thus extending the cultural boundaries of the iconic British brand that continues to be synonymous with self-expression, subversiveness and rebellion.
The artist Be Fernández has been chosen to decorate and illustrate with her drawings part of the space converted into a large canvas, where she has been able to give free rein to her imagination and fill it with colour and good vibes. The result is a seven-metre long work of art on the top floor, highlighting DM‘s historic 1460 silhouette. Under the title ‘Rugido’, Be has represented the strength, passion, rebelliousness and authenticity shared by both the brand and the city of Barcelona, represented with its recognisable skyline and some prominent pop icons.
