Highlighting the subcultures that meet in British pubs, the designer teams up with Belgian beer in a unique and stunning collection.
This is a vintage, military-inspired bomber jacket that has been covered with plates taken from Stella Artois bottles. Placed one by one by hand, they have certain imperfections such as bends or cuts, providing the ultimate worn and neglected touch. In addition, the logos of both brands cover the inside of the garment in the form of a lining and also adorn the back, signing the collaboration.
“It’s heavy, cognac-coloured cowhide with an aged, hand-broken effect. We wanted something that resembles the leather of a real aviator jacket,” says Martine Rose. “It’s embroidered on the back, it has patches on the sleeves, the bottle caps are hand painted or custom printed and custom flattened. It’s a real labour of love,” she adds.
The collection is completed with a pair of frayed jeans adorned with Stella Artois patches, a series of hoodies and a graphic overshirt presented at the Cousins Pool Club in London, reflecting the authenticity of the collaboration.
