adidas and BAPE reimagine the Stan Smith

Since its introduction in 1963, the Stan Smith has been one of the most popular silhouettes in the adidas imaginary. Although designed as a tennis shoe by former tennis pro, Stan Smith, the silhouette quickly found its way into streetwear culture. Now adidas has teamed up with A Bathing Ape (BAPE) to present a new iteration of one of the brand’s most iconic sneakers.

Celebrating the Japanese streetwear brand’s 30th anniversary, the new collaboration features two new colourways of the Stan Smith. The first iteration is in white synthetic leather with a camouflage upper, made from 60% recycled materials. The second are black with the same embossed synthetic leather upper along with additional camouflage and gold detailing.

The new adidas x BAPE Stan Smith limited edition collaboration will launch on November 18 on the adidas CONFIRMED app and BAPE website.

adidas may never sell its remaining Yeezy stock.
