In October, the brand announced a partnership with UAE real estate company Taraf Holding to build villas in Dubai; and in the summer, the company opened the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau hotel. A project that was announced by Lagerfeld in 2014 as a dream in which to fuse fashion, luxury and art and which he worked on until his death in 2019. In 2021, the label opened its first flats in Marbella, Spain. And now, the fashion house has revealed plans to open several luxury flats in Lisbon, Portugal, located between Rua Castilho and Avenida da Liberdade. Each flat will include a communal garden and private pool.
“We share the core values of innovation and improving the future, and I know this project will be an impressive addition to the rich and vibrant city of Lisbon,” said Pier Paolo Righi, chief executive of the Karl Lagerfeld brand. “We want to build a reference in comfort and elegance, along with the most demanding environmental requests in construction and operation,” added Pedro Vicente, CEO of Overseas. The Karl brand has partnered with Lisboa Overseas, which places an emphasis on minimising environmental impact, to complete the project.
